Junk system, all calls, emails, and letters ignored
What I purchased: 34 panel 13.6 kW system for $63,000. What I got: 33 panels, a hole in my roof with water damage, wildlife invasion, grey concrete smeared on my white stucco as a "eh, good enough" repair, dozens of ignored text messages, emails and phone calls trying to resolve these issues. After I spent 7 months waiting for install to start and then 9 months paying the bill while being ignored before the part of the system that was installed was finally activated. And of the 33 panels that did get installed, 1 is basically decorative, with a total output of less than half of any other panel, and a second that's try, but if it gets to a full half of what the others produce it's having a good day. And a bonus: a letter written by an attorney demanding Ambia complete the contract and come fix what they broke. But Ambia ignored that, too. Didn't say "no", just didn't respond. They've got a slick sales process with charismatic people who will say anything but do the bare minimum. I'm sure the response will say something along the lines of "contact us at whatever@whatever.com" or call us at "1-800-WEFRAUD" or something, but since that didn't work the first the first 30 times I tried it, I'm going with another approach... Complaints filed with Utah AG, Colorado AG, Colorado DORA, Utah DORA, and the BBB, cause "why not?"

MISLED & SCAM ARTISTS
I would never recomend to anyone to purchase these solar panels from Ambia based on the door to door sales process. I was lied to/misled on several key factors during the scam of these solar panels. I explained that these panels would not be good for my situation because I was planning to sell my house in the very near future and I didn't want any impedements during this process. I was told it would not impact us from purchasing a new home by the scamperson. I told the scamperson that I could not have a any loans that would show up on my credit because of my upcoming new home purchase. I was told it's not a "real" loan and it won't show up on your credit! That was a lie, it most certainly shows up on my credit and has caused me difficulty in trying to secure a mortgage. I also asked what happens when we sell the property. I was also told that when the property is sold, the panels are transfered to the new owners. It is not that simple, the new owners have to apply for credit to secure a loan to purchase the panels. What if their credit is tapped as a result if the home purchase? The process is not as simple as the scamperson made it seem! Prior to agreeing of an installation date, i called my scamperson and told him that we were definitely moving and would be selling our home. There was no need to proceed ahead with the solar panel installation because we would not be there to enjoy the potential savings benefit. We were told that we should still move forward because these panels would increase our property value based on Ambia's previous history of sales. We were also told again there would be no issues transferring the panels. Based on the sincerity if the scamperson i agreed to the installation. It was only after the installation that i found out about your convoluted transfer process. Interestingly, i asked multiple people from Ambia about the sale agreement/contract and I was told they didn't have access to the contract/sales agreement. How can a salesperson sell something without the capability of providing the customer with a sales agreement? Well, i finally got the contract and I'm sure you know already I got it after the period to cancel the contract! So now I'm stuck paying for panels that I really didn't want because of impact to my move. I will attempt to sell my property and get someone to purchase these panels and never ever consider solar panels again! This has been a nightmare and I didn't come knocking on your door asking for this trouble. This has clearly impacted my credit and ability to secure a mortgage! It is clear that you train scampeople to take advantgage of consumers that have no knowledge of the solar panel scam. If there was some legal action that I could take, I would certainly do so to get from under this scam! Sincerely, Shawn Hopson 412 719-4120

HORRIBLE
DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE SCAM YOU...I was sold a system that was promised to produce 127% of my power needs,it has never done better than 60% . When I complained to Ambia Solar their only consolation to me was that salesman no longer works here. So my reward for choosing Ambia is a 70 dollar reduction in my power bill and 185 dollar increase for the crap solar panels on my roof.

Ambia Solar
Not impressed with this solar at all. Our AEP bill went down but the solar bills make up the difference that we were paying AEP. We should not have proceeded eith this. Disappointed

Had Terrific experience with AMBIA. My panels have produced great every year and I love that I went solar a few years ago.

Terrible communication
I made lots of promises but everything took months longer than it should and in the end, I only covered 50% of my bill after being promised I would be producing 105-110%. So now I pay more than I would if I did not buy panels!
