Knowledgeable and Affordable
The first company that quoted me a solar system tried to sell me on a $70k system with a battery system that appeared later in the news for reasons that... weren't good. Rory and Sunsent didn't try and oversell, and came in at a third the price. Installation was quick, and when some of the units seemed to be a mismatched color from the rest, they remedied the issue quickly and without fuss. Nothing but good things to say about Sunsent, and I hope to add more panels in the future, especially with Ameren's absurd desire for a 15% rate hike this year. So glad I have the system that I have!

I Recommend SunSent Solar!
SunSent Solar did an excellent job installing solar panels on my home. All of the staff that I interacted with were professional, helpful, responsive, knowledgeable and kind. They made the entire installation process simple and are always willing to discuss concerns and questions, even after the installation has been completed. The panels took a long time to get fully hooked up to the grid after they were installed on our house, but that was due to Ameren’s processes rather than any fault of Contemporary Solar. I whole-heartedly recommend Contemporary Solar to anybody who is considering solar energy, and if I am ever in the market for solar in the future, I will give them my repeat business.

Great experience before, during, and after installation
I got multiple quotes and went with Sunsent Solar to install an 11.5 kw ground mounted system to power our home and car. I was almost shocked at how professional the company was throughout the process, from the initial site visit, to the scheduling, to the post-install support. The managers were responsive to my texts and calls, and the installation crews worked hard. My project was tougher than most due to the ground mount and the distance from the house, but they bent over backwards to get it done well, and work through all the hiccups you expect during a big project like this. We just got our first electric bill since we turned on the system, and it was NEGATIVE (Ameren owes us money). Solar is still pretty expensive, no doubt, but after rebates from Ameren and the IRS my outlay was about $29,000, and I figure it's like spending the price of a modest new car to get free electricity for the rest of my life. I'm definitely using Sunsent Solar when we're ready to install backup batteries. UPDATE: One of our microinverters failed a several months after installation. Sunsent came out, identified the problem, worked directly with the manufacturer to make a warranty claim, ordered a replacement microinverter, and then installed the new inverter. So ultimately Sunsent and Hoymiles held up their end of the deal, and we're still very happy with the services.

Great system, great company
I'd been thinking about solar for a while and John Bopp sealed the deal with his detailed, informative, and understandable presentation and description of the system I'd need. The installation team followed up with an amazingly quick and clean installation; the longest delay we had was drive time for the inspector to come and verify their work. The few questions I had early on were answered quickly and clearly and when I had a problem with a leak in the roof the team they sent out fixed it even though it had nothing to do with their installation. It's hard for me to imagine having a better experience in a construction setting. These folks are awesome. The system itself works, just works; I even got production with several inches of snow cover on the array and have saved enough on my electric bill to justify installation an electric water heater and still get an acceptable return on the investment. If I was going to do this again anywhere in their service area I wouldn't even think of calling anyone other than Sunsent.

Satisfied Customers
We were wary of solar and the many door to door salesmen that came to our door trying to peddle their solar products. Our neighbors recommended Sunsent so we decided to meet with them and hear what they had to say. Our rep, John, was amazing at explaining the pros and cons of solar. He didn’t pressure us at all. He gave us a real life example of what solar could do for us based off of our monthly power usage. Whatever question we had along the way were quickly answered with a simple phone call or text. If you decide solar is right for you, I highly recommend Sunsent.

Highly recommend Sunsent
I'm extremely pleased with my solar install from Sunsent! Brandon was great to work with, anything he didn't know offhand he did the research on and got right back to me. I signed the contract in March 2023, it was installed in April, and received PTO (Permission To Operate) from Ameren in May. Since then, my electric bill has been the Ameren minimum of $10.57
