it sucks
after 4 yrs. of having solar panel you would think that you would see a drop in power bill nope it almost the same as my solar payment. and those sucks.

Horrible company
This has been the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company. They lie, lie, and continue to lie. My panels are up but not operational. No savings on power. No rebate as promised. Credit is ruined because who can afford a solar loan payment along with a normal power bill? You can’t even get anyone to call you back and now the company is “open” July 2024 but the phone number is disconnected.

Will not save a dime
$120,000- and it is still costing me money. Will not return calls or emails. Pretty sure they are out of business. And my monthly electric bill is higher every month instead of lower, even though I produce more energy than I consume.

Horrible
2.5 years later, I still don't have a system that will pass inspection and Design 1 will not even return a phone call for the last year. They have twice installed an inverter not big enough for this system, and they keep burning out (7.8 and 8.6KW inverters on a 12KW system)

Scam
The sales guy lied the calculation they show you on your usage is off they over charge you for what you do get. The phones are never answered. No call backs waited 2 years for my panels to be hooked up. They saved me a wapping $20 a month. I pay over $168 just for the panels and the same power bill I did before. My full attic incapcilation is still no doneget call backs.

biggest mistake ever
My nightmare with Dig 1 solar started a little over 2 years ago. To start off it was very difficult for me to get an appointment to get this solar system installed in my home. Once that was finally scheduled they showed up two days late without any notification or explanation. I had to make numerous phone calls to find out where they were? After they finally arrived on the first day one of installers decided to take the company truck and go driving it through my backyard and over and through my septic system and then got it stuck ! They had to leave the truck overnight where the next day I was able to pull it out with my personal vehicle... After 2 days of approximately 12 hours each day the system did not work..! They had to send out a couple other cruise to troubleshoot and figure out what the problem was which they eventually were able to do and get the system up and running finally. This has been a long nightmare that just won't stop apparently. I still have a large hole in the drywall in my master bedroom that they had to cut open to run some wires to my basement that is still wide open not repaired as promised. I now have discovered another problem that is very serious after a heavy rain a couple weeks ago and then melting snow on my roof I realized that gallons of water is pouring through my roof from where they mounted the solar panels it is leaking through my roof causing God knows what kind of problems inside my roof now !! I have made dozens of phone calls over the last week trying to get a hold of them using every phone number I have and every single phone number now says phones have been temporarily disconnected ??? So I don't know if they are even in business now and after seeing how they treat their customers that would not surprise me in the least. I am 61 years old and have dealt with countless different companies throughout my lifetime and I can say easily that this is the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my life. They are always very pleasant on the phone and sound very nice and sound like they really want to help you and get this problem resolved, but it just never happens as I am finding out over 2 years later ! I would strongly urge anyone thinking about getting a solar system for their home look elsewhere for a more reputable company !! After 2 years I am also still waiting to get the "nest" thermostat that goes with the system and Works hand in hand with it and I'm still waiting for my 22 energy efficient light bulbs that they promised, and again just never seems to materialize? I'm very disappointed and feel like I have been suckered, these systems are not cheap mine cost me roughly $30,000 and I'm not feeling good about this at all nor the treatment I have gotten from this company. They claim that they monitor the system along with your power consumption and how much power you are using and how much you are putting back on the grid.. I know for absolute certain they have not monitored my system for well over a year and a half if not longer ! I hope this helps save someone else the trouble and frustration that I have had to go through dealing with this company and now with water pouring in my roof causing unknown amounts of damage as we speak.

Horrid experience
It started out so well. Got my install in a timely manner. It's been all down hill since then. Now it's been almost a year and we are still not clear to operate. I'm disappointed.

System doesn’t work
Power went out, during the day and nothing worked, not even LED lights. I’ve called customer service multiple times to get the installers certification done and sent to Alabama power and it’s still not done. The system has been installed for 3 months, it hasn’t lowered my power bill at all and apparently it doesn’t work either.
