Green Rack is great!
Can’t say enough positive about our experience with Green Rack Solar. After getting several hard sell pitches from companies, we turned to Energy Sage, a non-profit solar clearinghouse for consumer information. Through Energy Sage, we found Green Rack and other responsible local installers and were able then to comparison shop. Scott McKinstry from Green Rack answered all of our questions without pressuring us to buy. Once we made our decision, Brian McMurray sent us all the written plans for the project. Alex came out to do a site survey. Also, Green Rack has a local roofing company it partners with for customers who need a new roof, which we did. Great price on the new roof. And we had a slight hiccup with the billing where we planned to pay with a credit card (in order to get rewards points), but Green Rack charges a 3% fee for credit cards. When we complained about it, Green Rack immediately waived the fee for us. Great customer service from beginning to end. We are so pleased with our solar panels!

Green Rack provided a quoted system at the quoted price. Installation took two days. It became operational a few days later after inspection for code compliance. Its smartphone app reports are helpful and show it continues to perform well. Agreed to but not initially included was a rodent barrier installed on the second day at additional expense.

Installation of 43 panels with 2 string inverters on flat roof
From sales to aftersales I can recommend Green Rack Solar. No pressure in sales, clear communication of the steps. Fair price offered. All my questions (I had a lot) were answered honest and professionally. Challanges got solved by Scott and his colleagues when they occurred. The quote was honored, even when it turned out the installation on the several different flat roof levels was more challenging than expected. The system went productive about 3 months ago. The actual output seems to be on spot compared to the estimation. Scott was always responsive if I had further questions after the installation. I would recommend Green Rack Solar to a friend.

Couldn't be happier
Love my new Solar Panels. It truly produces electric when it is totally cloudy and there is no sun to be seen with the naked eye. The contract and paperwork with Scott went smoothly. He answered all of my questions. Nicole was great to work with for the permit and electric supplier application. There was an issue with the electric supplier application, and she took care of it immediately. Did not slow the process down at all. The installers were nice and had everything installed in one day. They explained the electrical parts of the install and answered any questions I had. Once the electric company changed the meter over, I got a call on how to flip the switches to turn the system on. Then I received an email with a link to the EnPhase Solar Monitor. Followed the directions on-line and the program was running the same day. Would do business with them again.

Solar panel Installation
I have worked with Scott McKinstry from green rack and had a wonderful experience. Excellent service from start to finish! The team was professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. They explained the installation process clearly and made sure everything was done to the highest standard. The solar panels are working great, and we’re already seeing a reduction in our energy bills. He also Made sure I get the credits that I missed making my Life easy Highly recommend them to anyone looking to go solar!

Excellent installers for your solar project.
We had the system installed and Green Rack did an excellent job throughout the whole process. We worked with Scott and Nicole for the sales part of the process. They were on top of all communications and answered any questions I had leading up to the install. The only hiccup seemed to come from our electric company. Nicole was persistent and we eventually got the approval from the electric company after they seemed to drag their feet, pushing back our install. The install was done by Zach and his crew. They arrived promptly and were quick to get to work. Any questions I had during the install were answered, even my more random hypothetical questions. The array that we decided on focused on function while also provided an excellent nice aesthetic to the arrangement. The conduit was neatly ran and minimal holes were needed in my roof. Our install was completed in a little over 4 hours and Mike gave me a rundown on the various breakers and what steps I need to take after the interconnection is completed by the electric company. Looking forward to the energy savings for years to come. Thank you so much Green Rack for my excellent service and for answering any questions we had from sale to install. I can easily recommend them for you solar install needs.

Great Experience
I went with Greenrack after they submitted a competitive quote and also had a large amount of installation experience working as a subcontractor for other major companies. I liked that they partner with SolarInsure, providing some assurance that my installation will be covered well into the future. I also needed a new roof and Greenrack smoothly rolled this in to my quote and handled interactions with a roofer to get my roof completed. The process went fairly quickly. After my first call with Scott at Greenrack in July, we had a completed contract and a site survey in 10 days, my roof was installed in August, and the solar installation was performed with permission to operate by the end of September. This was right on the original schedule Greenrack shared with me, even though my roof is not particularly straightforward, requiring five different arrays on different parts of the roof. I have had the system operating for just over 11 months now and it is already nearly at its predicted 1 year output. I was given full access to the enphase app with consumption monitoring which is very useful to be able to track energy production and usage. Scott also has worked to get my system set up with Srectrade so I can start benefiting from SREC credits.

One of the good ones
Working with Scott and everyone else at Green Rack was truly a pleasure. They indulged my nerd questions during the install and showed me everything they were doing. They were attentive and informative throughout the back and forth with the city and power company. Once they were cleared to install, it was fast and easy and we were making power on schedule. Now I power my whole street on a sunny day. After our first summer, we're net neutral in a big old house that positively sucks power to cool.
