Satisfied with Greenlink; Process is Cumbersome
The installation of our Solar Panels and the service provided by Greenlink has been acceptable. The primary purpose of Solar Panels is to have the benefit of net metering. Greenlink seems to be very knowledgeable about the process, but it seems to be a struggle due to all the third-party entities involved. We have yet to reach the "finish line" for the net-meeting benefits.

Greenlink was responsive and delivered a quality product
I selected Greenlink for my solar installation after talking with several companies. Each company offered essentially the same thing for slightly different prices. However, Greenlink sent a representative to my house to look at the roof and attic to ensure they could put panels where they quoted in their proposal. They were also willing to modify their proposal based on recommendations from myself with respect to the shaded areas on my roof. They took me step by step through the process of navigating the Illinois Shines SREC process. When asked, they took me through their calculations for how they arrived at the project power output of my system and made adjustments (such as higher efficiency panels) when it be came apparent I may need more panels than would fit on the sunny side of my roof. The installation was on schedule and completed in a matter of a few days with minimal impact to me. Reason for 4 starts instead of 5: There were a few hiccups along the way with financing and I did have to pay attention to the contract amount to ensure various fees and other costs were not hidden, which was frustrating. However, when a mistake was found Greenlink was quick to correct it. The installation team said they would be back after a few days to put the finishing touches on the panels like installing some covering on the side of the panels / make them look nicer but that didn't happen. The panels look fine by themselves so I don't mind, but it is something they said they would do that they didn't. It has no impact on the performance of the system - which is what I really care about. Overall I would recommend using Greenlink for solar installations but please pay attention to the paperwork you sign, the dollar amounts, and any commitments made - sometimes mistakes happen and you don't want to be on the wrong side of it.

Customer Service Excellence
In a project where you have to coordinate with the local authorities and the grid operators, there are times where things done move as planned. It is at times like this that customer service and engagement are very important. Keeping everyone informed, pressing forward with the authorities and getting things moving is key. Greenlink has stayed with the project throiugh all of this and has kept things moving smoothly. Their crew is courteous, skilled and responsive to customer requests. Their management is quick to get on the call if there is a problem and quick to resolve it. All in all this is a company that works very hard to keep their promise and does not let up until the job is done. A well run organization with good leadership.
