Sales shark and gimmicks galore
I interviewed 3 companies on the same day. All two hours apart. Momentum was in the middle and I made it clear we had a commitment and had to be done by a certain time. Very nice guy, but almost too personable that he didn't get to business until it was almost time for our next rep. He talked down his competitors and tried to force us into a contract before we meet with the next company. Then he sat in his car in the driveway the entire time we talked to the other Rep and had the nerve to knock on the door and ask to use the bathroom then proceed to argue that the rep with me was lying. I finally said get out of my house! He said he had to call his manager and I had to talk to them, which I didn't. He then proceeded to text me that the other company was selling an inferior product and he's lying. It took a few text of blatant honesty to tell him, he was the reason I choose the company! So, I cannot speak to anything other than their sales and tell you that besides getting 3 different reps calling before the appointment to schedule an appointment and this dudes sales technic, they don't know there ass from their elbow!

Maintenance service
The maintenance service they have is so bad. I had been trying to call them for the last two months and each time a representative gives me some recorded messages with no action.

Customer Service Lies
Had a failure in my solar/battery backup system for a component which Enphase is covering under hardware warranty. They sent me the part and asked me to set up service with my provider. Here's where it got bad. Momentum Customer Service cannot talk with the Service Scheduler, so they entered a case and promised that it would be FIXED within 10 days. When I checked for a date, I was told it would be "SCHEDULED" within 10 days. When I still didn't hear from them and called back, I was told 14 days for a schedule. The case was escalated and it was finally scheduled for today between 12-4PM. Of course, because of the huge snow storm in Austin (less than ¼ inch of snow) all service calls were deferred. No one called me. After 4PM no one showed, I called into Customer Service and was told my call was deferred to tomorrow. I asked to speak to a Customer Service Manager and was told he would call me. I waited for ½ hour and, you guessed it, no call back, so I called Customer Service Again. This rep was very nice and said he would find out what was going on. I was then told that "Scheduling" was working on rescheduling all of the calls from today and that my case had NOT BEEN RESCHEDULED after all. I now have a new date, two days out. Will they actually show up? Who knows... When I first bought my system, Momentum's service was very good. In fact, they called me to tell me about a problem with my system and fixed it quickly. Now, I have to let them know, source the parts myself and beg them to install the replacement part. Momentum Service communication is terrible and do they lie? Perhaps they are just making up stuff because they just don't know how to cover poor service.

All I will say is this company is a joke!!!!! If you happen to speak to one of their salesperson turn around / close the door.. Find another company seriously !!!!

Smart enough to say no, but too nice not to have wasted my time
Vague description from canvas employee led to what was supposed to be 30-60 minutes explanation of Solar System they offered. Ended up being 2 hours sales pitch trying to bash the utilities company, estimate an inflation model, propose a more affordable one and finally push for urgency to sign today for big discount. In the end I learned they lease equipment for solar and own part of your property. They charge you for power close to what the utility already does. Equipment has warranty for faults but not damage incurred. I am looking at getting Solar, but companies like these make it easy to get started and I can see who ends up profiting.

Momentum just wastes my time.
Momentum Solar has, unfortunately, become a bad company. I had my solar panels installed a little over four years ago by Momentum and it was a good experience. After purchasing a plug-in hybrid vehicle this year, my energy needs increased so I contacted Momentum in March about adding more panels as well as adding back-up batteries. I was told I'd need a few months of electric bills justifying the need for more panels so in August I sent the bills proving the need. I was contacted by their installation manager who said the need for more panels was justified. However, he said there were a couple of other jobs he needed to complete first so he couldn't get to me for a couple of weeks. When I didn't hear back three weeks later, I called him and he said his wife had been ill but he would get to me in a week or so. After another couple of weeks I called again and he said he was on vacation. After another few weeks I called again and his assistant said he was on the other line and she took the message so he could call me back. When I didn't hear back days later, I called Momentum's main number, and asked if there was someone else who could get to my project, but they said the only one who handles that work is the man who doesn't even return my calls. I then asked for a higher up at Momentum to call me urgently because I needed the project completed before the end of the year. It's now a week later and nobody has contacted me. If they treat an existing customer this way, I can only imagine what they do to unsuspecting new ones.

Working with Momentum is torture
I wish I could give half a star for Momentum Solar. Customer Service reps were unfailingly friendly and helpful, but the schedulers and the workers were uninterested, unconcerned, and negligent. I started working with them in mid-August on a simple remove and re-install so I could get a new roof installed. They delayed and stalled for 6 weeks before they removed them. A new roof was on in 2 days. They didn't return for almost 4 weeks to replace them. The installers gave me incorrect information. They were on their phones, or shooting the breeze with each other for hours. The re-install took 9 hours because they spent the first 3 talking to each other, standing on the roof, but not working. Working with them is torturous. Stay away from Momentum Solar

Best solar and service
We just signed up with Justin Benton. He was so knowledgeable and I can see we will always be in contact if we have questions or any issues, that is how personal Brian is. We also had the pleasure of working with Kami and she was wonderful. We have had Momentum Solar on our NJ home and have nothing to say bad about having Solar’s. New Solar Power
I have had a wonderful experience working with Karan from Momentum solar. She has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the process. She was very deliberate about taking her time and making sure everything was explained well. She went the extra mile to make sure we were able to get as many incentives as possible. I’m glad that she was our representative.
