Momentum Can't Communicate Effectively with Customers
Momentum has put forth one of the WORST customer service efforts of any company that has done work on my home. From the get go, the guy who sold me the job told me he would be the ONLY guy that I would be in touch with, that HE was in charge of my job, no one else. I've never heard from him again. I had a roof install done as part of the work. The roofers left all manner of debris all over my yard as a consequence of poorly installed, ripped tarps that didn't catch any of the old roof material coming down. Still picking up nails and shingle remnants. I wanted additional panels put on, but I was told that I wouldn't need as many panels as I thought would be appropriate for my usage, and rather than producing enough energy, I feel as though I will still be owing Eversource. But I won't know that until my panels actually get connected, which hasn't happened yet. Panels were installed in March. I've had multiple inspections set up by a DIFFERENT customer service rep randomly texting me that I needed an inspection and that someone had to be at my home for it to happen. Most of these alerts were short notice without any consideration of whether or not anyone could actually be there for it, after the appointments had already been made. The last inspection, after the panels had been installed, was to check to see if the roof was properly installed. It consisted of a person walking around my house, without getting on the roof. I was then notified that I needed another visit from a roof repair person, which was also scheduled without previous knowledge or consent, for which I was unable to be home. Since then, I've not heard from ONE person at Momentum about my connection, when I will start generating...nothing. It is now nearly June. So I will tell everyone that is ever considering solar to steer clear of Momentum, as I should have.

Get your solar panels elsewhere
I originally posted how happy I was with the process. Almost within days this has turned from an exciting new addition to an utter and complete nightmare. Do not sign with them!!!!!! I made the decision to move forward and almost instantly I changed my mind from financing to paying out in cash. So the original contract was cancelled, I signed a new contract for a price and put down 10% down payment. Then I woke up to paper work from the a bank saying my financing was pushed through. But they financed my loan for a different amount that I signed for, a different production amount that I signed for, they have kept my 10% down payment in cash as if I was paying in cash. I have called numerous times and I get nowhere with them. They do not honor what they have signed, and when I have called numerous times each time I am promised someone will call me within 24 hours. No one calls! Stay away from momentum solar!

LIARS
They installed in December but it took state inspection and FPL about 2 months to finalize whatever they had to do. I had to pay both my loan payment and FPL payment for 2 months so costing me double. When we signed up they said that will not be the case. Just talked to extremely rude customer service representative who "unfortunately couldn't do anything" Go figure....scammers!!! I'm sure there are better companies out there, do your research, especially after reading all the other reviews. I was gonna recommend them to my parents and our friends who are looking into their options, but god no way after this.

Find a solar company who respects their customers
I cannot recommend strongly enough that you avoid Momentum Solar at all costs. The first time we met with them, we spent three productive hours learning about their product and services with an excellent representative, only to have that visit end with a call to a sales manger who offered a hard sell pressure tactic to sign today. The manager insisted we sign the deal and if we found a better deal, he promised to give us $1000 and let us out of the deal. That should have been the end right there but it was not. They called to schedule another visit with a revised proposal. Against my wife’s better judgement, I scheduled another meeting with them. After a pleasant 90 meeting, the new representative began to bash a competitors proposal that I shared with him. When I asked him to expend his energy convincing me to go with Momentum rather than slandering a competitor, he chose not to honor my request. In the next 10 minutes the conversation turned into a legitimate argument in which the representative raised his voice with me telling me I was making a mistake by considering a small, family-owned local firm. His reasoning was that they would go out of business or owner might die and then I would have no one to turn to if I had a problem. My wife finally intervened and asked the representative to leave our home. Today, three weeks later, I received another follow up call to try to schedule a third appointment. I asked to be removed from their system and to never be called again. They asked one last time if I was sure that I did not want to review their new proposal fresh from engineering. When I refused, they hung up on me.

Took 3 1/2 Months to Fix 40% of my Panels
Overall, I have not issues with the panels (this was the 1st problem we have had with them), but I do have a problem with Momentum. I lost 40% of my solar production for the entire summer. I called in June 2023 and because Momentum seems so short staffed, it took them 3 1/2 months to triage and fix 8 of my 20 my panels. I found out that my panels stopped producing in February so the outage was actually 7 1/2 months. After multiple calls, Momentum refuses to credit me anything for my loss of production. I requested a manager call me but that never happened. My thought is that Momentum's inability to provide timely service should not affect my wallet. For those new to Momentum, please review your production closely as Momentum does not let you know if your panels are not working.

Terrible Panels & Pathetic Customer Service
My panels were installed in summer of 2021. They did not function properly till NOV 2021 due to multiple installation/generation issues. After changing my electric provider (to get the solar credit) I did get negative bills for first 4 months! But after that, the performance of the panels & the energy production decreased significantly!! I logged in multiple support requests but there was no proper response. I was made to contact multiple teams but no body takes ownership & no one cares about the customer issues! Now, I am paying $150 on an average per month along with the solar loan costs. My total costs are way higher than what I used to pay prior to the solar panel installation. Overall, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone, Wish I stayed away.

The worst solar company
From the beginning I realized that I was in a bad situation. The process took too long, the number of panels was not enough to produce the electricity that I need. But the worst part was that it caused a leaking where the panels were installed. After that was fixed the squirrels built a nest in between the panels and the roof and then make a hole in the roof and eventually made a hole in the roof and get into the house. I called them immediately and then the nightmare began. First they told me its not their fault but the squirrels, and I have to fix the roof myself even tough the squirrels look for the warmth of the panels because of the space between the panels and the roof and they are supposed to put a critter guard around the panels to protect the roof and their own panels. Then I was told that I have to pay for them to remove the panel. I told them that it's an emergency because if it rains I would a leaking into my house, but they simply didn't care about that.

HORRIBLE
Sat thru the entire presentation (which took up about 4 hours) have a signed / dated CONTRACT and all my banking information just to have them all of a sudden say I was not qualified. Also, NEVER gave me a LEGAL letter to terminate the contract before like I would of had to do. They are fraudulent and have NEVER answered my questions and avoid ME. So I guess I will have an attorney look over the everything and determine where I go from there. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALLLLLLLLL.

Horrible customer service
DO NOT use this company. The customer service is horrible. They are borderline fraudulent. We’ve been waiting since April for them to fix an issue with our panels. They’d tell us the parts arrived and then schedule an appointment. Then they don’t show up for that appointment. When we call and ask why they didn’t show, they tell us the part didn’t arrive. And that they will have someone call us. This is the cycle that’s been happening since April. Take your business somewhere else.

The sales pitch, and the reality are miles apart. We were led to believe that we would be paying a small fee to remain on the grid. In reality our power bill only went down a small amount. Think twice if you think the cost of these panels is going to substantially replace your power bill.
