Reply from Net 0 Energy Homes Inc: My name is Mark

First of all, let me clarify that this project had absolutely nothing to do with a solar electric installation as Mr. Johnson erroneously states. This project for which I was working strictly in as sales capacity with Blue Energy Electric, who is a Florida State licensed and insured contractor, was specifically for a solar water heater and a solar pool heating system.
I have worked as a manufacturer’s rep and independent sales agent for several companies throughout my career in the solar industry. I have assisted hundreds (literally approaching a thousand) of very satisfied homeowners with their projects to install solar energy on their homes. In this history of over 10 years in the industry, I HAVE HAD NO / 0 (ZERO) COMPLAINTS.
In my opinion Blue Energy Electric went well beyond and way above the “call of duty†in trying to satisfy this customer. In addition to other requests which had nothing to do with the scope of work for this job , Mr. Johnson thought he could design a “better†solar water heater system and he repeatedly requested changes to the installation which were not in the original permit paperwork which had been submitted and was indeed approved by the City.
Mr. Johnson took advantage of the situation to get extra work done to/and for pre-existing negligent conditions at his property which were outside the scope of the contract mutually understood and agreed by all parties.
Mr. Johnson, on several occasions threatened to NOT PAY if the work (outside the scope of the agreed contract) wasn't included or done by Blue Energy Electric. (These demands were only made by Mr. Johnson, after work had begun by Blue Energy Electric and were never part of the agreed contract to begin with).
My Johnson touted the “fact†that he was a big-time contractor up North. What I now understand about those statements was that he was accustomed to and experienced in getting “extra†work out of his sub-contractors, which I know he tried to do and actually did in this case to Blue Energy Electric.
A permit was submitted to and approved by the city/AHJ. I believe the main mistake the contractor made was in not picking up the approved permit in a timely manner and not scheduling a final inspection for the project (which by the way became a difficult thing to do as Mr. Johnson was constantly requesting changes to the system which meant that new paperwork would have to be submitted to the City and re-approved). The requests from Mr. Johnson and the subsequent delays became excessive. I believe Mr. Johnson took advantage of that. The fact is that sometimes construction work does not always go smoothly. But in most cases If the parties are reasonable, the issues get worked out in 99 out of a hundred cases, this one did not. And it is also my understanding that when the contractor did go back to get a revised permit for this project, he was threatened with physical harm by Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson has my number
