Sandbox Solar - By far best resource for PV system
We installed a Solaron solar hot air panel system in our home in the 1970s with great results, so wanted to continue the tradition with photovoltaic / PV system given the 26% tax credit (now back to 30% for 2022) incentive. We used the EnergySage resource as a starting point; educational and provides contact information for solar PV companies. We were contacted by 7 different companies with service in the northern Coloraodo area, interviewed with each, and asked for estimates. All but Sandbox Solar pushed us hard (sales pitch) to sign a contract. By contrast, Sandbox (Justin Wojtarowicz) carefully answered our questions and waited for our response each time. We agreed on a 26 panel system that will provide all of our annual use back to the grid, with extra margin for an electric car charging system in the future. The installation crew was super efficient, finishing the installation in a day with "critter guards" and reloaction of the panels above some existing snow guards already on the roof. They installed the panels in the "landscape" orientation instead of "portrait" to allow the snow guards to be effective in breaking up snow sliding from the PV panels. You must be patient with the process - it took our electric provider more than a month to approve the interconnect and meter to allow us to push unused capacity back to the grid. Given that the recent Federal incentive has been increased from 26% back to 30%, the wait did prove beneficial all things considered. Overall, we have had a great experience with Sandbox Solar and would recommend their services without hesitation. We'll update this review with actual PV performance once we have several months of connection data.

5 star awesome!
Sandbox Solar is 5 star awesome! Such great people to work with. Very professional and knows exactly what they are doing and how to navigate the permits, HOAs, etc. Super clean install and kept my yard looking impeccable during the install. The price was the price. There were no surprises. They are transparent about the price and process. I highly recommend them!!

Most personable solar company on the front range
My wife and I had about eight bids from different Colorado solar companies. Everyone we dealt with was nice, accommodating, and excited to help a small family go solar. However, when we met Ian and AJ at Sandbox Solar, we new who we were going to contract for our smaller project. They not only had the best price for our needs with the most kilowatts of sunshine, they were always clear about their installation deadlines, they handled all the permitting with the city of Longmont, and they built in an extra cool monitoring service which we access with our phones. The panels they used were super high quality–the same panels used by Namaste Solar–and Sandbox has stayed in touch to make sure our system continues to work properly. If you're considering solar, Sandbox is one of your best choices. They're a small company, which means you'll get one-to-one treatment with the owners of the company and clear, concise facts about the system that will best fit your energy needs.

Great!
Sandbox Solar did a great job installing my home solar system. They systematically discussed what I would want and need, installed it in the time frame they promised, and for the price they promised. They also obtained all the necessary permits for the installation (HOA, City and electric company) for me. Ian and AJ were consistently thoughtful and reliable partners in working with me. They made the process easy and efficient! I would highly recommend Sandbox Solar to anyone thinking about a solar installation for their home.
