off grid with water heater
We wanted a small back-up system in case of a grid failure. I contacted several other companies and decided on Ron Holland of Solar Technology Alabama. Ron, Christian and Scotty were all very knowledgeable, professional and honest. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Solar Tech rocks!
We were wanting a small off grid solar backup system that would allow some light cooking, laundry and the use of a few small devices such as phone chargers, Kindle, microwave. Ron designed and installed the perfect setup for us! Let me assure you, this is a wonderful, knowledgeable, polite Christian company! And better yet, they don't disappear after installation. They will teach you how to maintain and use your new system AND continue following up with you to see how things are working. Thank you Ron, Scotty and Christian! You rock!

Off Grid Consultation
I contacted Ron Holland about a totally off grid PV electrical system and he invited us up to talk and look at his facilities. I took my wife and daughter along to let them see what they were about to get into and I planned on being there about 30 to 45 minutes for a quick look. <br /> I am planning on a radiant heated building totally off grid with my own water source, PV and hydroelectric systems. I was looking at a wood fired boiler backup and a hydroponics system. What I did not know was that he had just about everything I was looking to install for myself already installed and working at his location. He even sells some of the appliances we were looking at that we expected to be hard to get in this area. I lost track of time looking at system after system and was there about 3.5 hours. I really do not know where the time went. It really only seemed like about an hour. I learned a lot and left with my mind churning at light speed with all the new information that I obtained. I got the direction I need to be going in which is slightly different from where I was headed. We are waiting on drier weather to remove timber and get started. We appreciate the time he took to get us off on the right track from the ground up. I plan ahead because I do not want a retrofit or any mistakes and have to say " Well, I wish I had known or done it this way instead". It is much easier to redraw a floor plan slightly now than tear a wall down later. I expect to be seeing more of Ron in the coming months as we get closer to finalizing ideas.

15 kW Solar Grid Tie System
Had Solar Technology Alabama install a 15 kW grid tie system on my farm equipment shed in February 2013. No longer paying electric bills and now selling power back to the grid via the local electric cooperative. Solar Technology Alabama did a great job installing the system. System is working fine, no problems. Highly recommend Solar Technology Alabama.

Quality products and responsive service
I bought a solar water heater in 2010 and was very pleased with the products, installation, and follow up. I've turned off the electric back-up for 5 months and never ran out of hot water. Love taking long hot showers...for free!
