Phono Solar was founded in 2004 by Chinese company SUMEC, a subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH). You may not have heard of SUMEC/SINOMACH, but they are a Fortune Global 500 company which earned over $43 billion in revenue in 2021, and are in the black. The resources and support that SUMEC/SINOMACH can provide means that Phono Solar is likely to be around for a while.
Phono Solar’s flagship panel ranks high for module quality, with an impressive panel efficiency rating of 21.23%. The major downside to Phono Solar is that the American market seems to be a low priority for them. Phono Solar has limited market share here, and unlike even much smaller rivals, they haven’t bothered to open a regional office in the U.S.
Lack of American presence and support leaves us hesitant to recommend Phono Solar, despite their otherwise excellent company profile.

End of the year and the start of a new way
Loved that we were finally able to get solar and that the programs were in place to assist us. The team at Altever did a really good job.

I saw an independent review of these panels, and saw that they outperformed other panels that were much more expensive.
