We began to consider Solar two years ago to address both environmental issues and rising energy costs. At the time a lease or long term payment plan was being offered which did not make economic sense to us. Earlier this Spring we renewed our interest & talked to several Solar companies with the intent to purchase a system. Our search led us to Eric Broderdorf
and SolarTech. Eric was knowledgeable with a no pressure approach. The solar panels recommended were by SunPower, a US based product with independent power convertors/monitoring and a 25 year warranty, all of which was important to us. At that point we decided to choose SolarTech and turned our attention to the condition of the roof. Once again we considered several roofing companies. After meeting with Brad Stamm
and comparing the Solar Tech Roofing proposal, we made the decision to renew the roof prior to the solar panel installation. The roof was replaced in a professional and timely manner. Our Solar Tech project manager, Grant Magoffin, was most efficient in coordinating the entire project. We were impressed with the installation of the panels as well as the attention to details and aesthetics of the electrical installation. Alex and his crew did a great job. In just six weeks from signing the original contract Charlene Reed was on site to coordinate the final inspection. In just a few days SDG&E gave us permission to initiate the System. The SunPower App is amazing. I can monitor the output of the solar panels on a daily/hourly basis and reflect the weekly, monthly, yearly as well as overall solar output to the grid vs our actual electrical usage.
We recommend Solar Tech. There are many companies offering a solar solution. We found Solar Tech to be among the best.

Bud & Judy Swartwood
El Cajon, CA
