Warranty Issues

My wife and I have purchased panels through SolarTech twice now. Their customer service as far as sales and installation are top notch. Their customer service in regards to warranty issues though leaves much to be desired. They blame you, they blame SunPower, and don’t return calls. It got to the point where I had to file a formal complaint against them through SunPower. In the first 10 months our panels were installed we had 2 separate warranty issues. The first issue took 5 weeks for them to resolve. SolarTech has 2.33/5 stars on the Better Business Bureau website. Check out the reviews there, they are almost identical to ours.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your repeat business. Education is upmost importance when installing solar. We recall your first solar system installation working well and continues to. As discussed with your new home, not having any electric bills to create a baseline was one speed bump we ran into. We strategized with you to create a system you liked and approved for install based on your usage at the time. When the monitoring went down, we were notified and were working with SunPower to work through updates. At the same time, we saw your energy consumption go up with the new pool and spa. Once the system was fixed and back on-line, we were then able to monitor and see your new consumption level, further with COVID, people home more and more consumption than expected. As previously discussed over phone conversation, SolarTech is not responsible for credits you may have accumulated while your monitoring is down. We do still advise you need to add more panels to your system to accommodate the new electric usage you are experiencing. We apologize for any misunderstanding and hope you understand the situation. Thank you for your business.
