I have a system with many solar panels and 3 Tesla Powerwalls. (It was not cheap) I am questioning my decision to go with Sunnova now. Have had many complications and getting service done is hit or miss. 2 days ago a couple Sunnova technicians came by to replace/relocate some communication devices. Since then the powered has flickered on and off. I thought it was the grid. But tonight, everything that is backed up (everything critical...water pump, heat, appliances) are out. Only those non essential items which are not backed up (basically lights in some rooms) are working. We know the grid is up and running. Our Sunnova system is essentially blocking it and creating its own outage. On top of the technical problem, I call Sunnova customer service and all the guy could tell me is that the department he needs to talk to is closed. I asked who to contact for an emergency. He said they dont have anyone else. I asked who I could escalate to. He said there is nobody. I asked for a supervisor. He said there isn't one. SERIOUSLY!!???? We pay this much money for a system that powers the home, and they don't have a way to escalate? On top of that, this guy had the audacity to say to me "well they were there two days ago and you haven't reported anything till now, so....". I told him the system just went down tonight multiple times. If you purchase a system, and it can anyway block power from the grid, and they provide no way of escalating the issue, DO NOT BUY IT!!!
