Think Twice before Choosing ESP

I would like to start off by saying that my main objective is to bring awareness to those who are in the process of choosing ESP for your solar panels project. I am having the worse experience with them because the panels aren’t producing enough energy and now I am paying Edison a large bill and also paying for my panels. The sales person completed his assessment and said I needed 13 panels to cover the usage, I even purchased 2 extra panels to make sure I had extra because my plan was to get an electric car. To give you more context, my mother used a different solar company and she has 15 panels as well and her panels are producing about 750-800 kWh a month and the ones I have are producing 80 kWh!!! Obviously, there is something wrong with my panels right?? Well, I have been trying to get ESP to send someone to my house to check what’s going on and the answer I got is that I have to pay for them to come check. I have consulted with other installers and they said that the panels were not installed properly because they are lying flat on top on my carport. I truly believed that ESP had experienced professionals that knew what they were doing, but based on the results, it seems that I have been left alone with this huge problem. If anyone else is having similar issues, please come forward and seek legal advise. We cannot allow this company to continue to fool people and they have to take responsibility for their actions.

Isa, we're sorry to hear about the frustration with your project. Every home is unique and every family will need different system size as it pertains to usage and possible configurations, and other installers may have other protocols or tolerances for designing systems on carports or other non-roof structures, but everything we install is up to code and meets contractual obligations or else your system would not have passed inspection. We are always happy to review your power bills and compare to your usage to ensure everything is working to its optimal potential.
