I purchased a home with a Sunrun solar net metering system on it. The transfer process was simple and efficient. I was given options to purchase the system, prepay the lease or keep the monthly lease which is what the prior owner had signed up for. I stayed with the monthly lease for simplicity and because I wanted to use my cash reserves for home improvement projects. I also don’t want to have to maintain my system if anything breaks in the future. My only wish is that I had a system with batteries since we’ve seen an increase of power outages due to the new HECO wildfire policies!
