Don't use them.

The following complaint was also posted to NJ Consumer Affairs and BBB. I encourage every victim of this company to do the same and continue to escalate to their business partners, various websites and government agencies & the Attorney General until Ad Energy is held responsible. Give poor ratings at the various addresses this company has in different websites. Don't trust their website, they will be delisted from BBB and EnergySage. Chance is that they are taking the money and run. Ad Energy started my project in December 2022. The project included a new roof and solar system. They sub-contracted the roof job to ARP, ARP then sub-contracted it out to another company. Before the roofing job, I told the sales manager about preserving the "Gutter Helmet" gutter guard during the roof job. He said those are professional roofers and they know what to do with that. However, the roofers damaged the gutter guard and did a "temporary fix" by nailing the top of gutter guard onto the new shingles and applied another layer or shingles on top of that. Leaving a big gap in the structure which could cause leak. I told Ad Energy and they had ARP come and remove the top layer and the gutter guard entirely. Some bottom shingles were damaged in the process. I have asked Ad Energy to put the gutter guard back on at their cost. They agreed and had their own contractor came multiple times to assess the situation. The contractor finally deemed that the gutter guard he had purchased would not fit. The contractor proposed back to Ad Energy to pay me $800 so that I can find a qualified company to replace my gutter guard and also the big hole that the electrician fell through in my garage ceiling during the installation. They have agreed but never paid anything. Then I asked multiple companies to provide me quotes on the cost to put the gutter guard on. I submitted to Ad asked for more compensation so that I can have another company get the work done. They stop responding. I have emailed many people in their company, including the CEO, Micheal (Andy) Wall. I have called and left messages, but no one ever picked up the phone or responded. The only person I have heard back from was the sales manager (Tim Munson) who told me about Ad Energy has some kind of financial issues. Both parties have saved emails, text messages and photos to support what I said above. This company is truly irresponsible. People using them today will risk losing a lot of time and money. Warranty on their job would also mean nothing. I would like them to compensate for the shingle, ceiling, gutter guard damage, and the warranty that they are not going to honor. I have contacted BBB.org, EnergySage.com (marketplace of solar installers) for their assistance. Ad-Energy never responded to both parties after months of wait. Also sold me a 8 kW system but could only generate 5.9 kW max.

Worst company

If your smart run when you see this company. I have had nothing but problems ever since installation. They put them up wrong. The worst part is trying to get someone to help you. I have had two contact people both have left the company. I have been trying for over two weeks to get someone the person that answered the phone ( when someone answers the phone) says I can send an email and I have someone get back to you. This is the wrong Dept but they can’t give me a number for the correct department when I asked for an email to speak to someone higher up he disconnected me then you try calling back and nobody answers. This is the worst customer service company in the world. Please be smart stay away from it.

Right Hand does Not Know what the left hand is doing

Signed a contract Dec 2021. Project still not complete. They blame the utility (PECO). When in fact they are at fault. Missed deadlines and do not complete the paperwork for the utility. They don't have a clue of what is going on. When I signed the contract, they stated it would be quick and seamless process. This process being delayed into 2023 is going to cost me additionally thousands of dollars

Lacks transparency, delays

When the roof and solar panel installation project started, I was told the most time taken is for township and pseg approvals. It has already been 2 weeks since we got all approvals and I do not have any timelines for installation yet. When I followed up today, I was told it would take another 2 weeks to install. It is minimum 4 weeks to install after all the approvals were secured. Feeling disappointed at this point given the lack of clarity since we started the project. Update on above - Installation was finally done 4 weeks after the all the approvals from township and pseg. I was asked to make the payment as they only need to schedule township inspection of installation. I made the payment within two days. Almost one week passed and when followed up on status of township inspection, after two follow up emails, I am informed that they made modifications to the original installation plan and need to seek reapproval from township on that. No timelines can be provided. At this point, I feel that Adenergy/sunpower has been a bad decision on my part as they are not transparent with the process, do not provide any proactive updates on the project, trick you in to making the payments, leave you at the mercy of township to approve. Adenergy is making the overall process lengthy as there are delays and not a thorough process from their end.

Terrible customer Service/Improper Installation.

I have had a leak in the roof since September, have called multiple times, they have sent an electrician to fix the roof, have repaired the roof multiple times and still have the same problem. I have called customer service multiple times and they keep making excuses and blaming others for their improper installation. I also asked them to remove the solar panel from my roof, to hire someone to repair what they damaged and they told me I had to pay them to remove the panels. I have a report where they admit to being the cause of the problem but as it continued to leak now they say it is that the roof was old, when the roof was replaced a few months before the installation. If you are reading this post do not choose ad-anergy or sunpower for your solar panels. Terrible customer service, very bad companies.

Great team

Joe I*****, is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and awesome! He took time to illustrate how the whole solar energy process works, how solar panels will help us produce our home's electricity needs, the advantages of buying vs. leasing benefits, as well as over time choices, prices, savings and incentives. Joe has been great with ad energy. From the beginning until after the completion of our solar installation. Communication, via email, text and phone, was simple. I can't say enough about how fast and simple Joe was with this process. I cant say how much i am thankful for joe and the whole ad energy and sunpower team for their help. They did such a great job on my solar panels, from replacing the roof to adding the polar panels it was great.

Great Experience with BS

Bob Schiffer was very thorough and explained all that’s involved with going solar with SunPower. Bob made it easy to understand how the process works, the benefits of purchasing vs. the benefits of leasing, and even helped us by partnering with a roofing company and a tree removal company, too! Bob’s initials might be BS, but he didn’t give us any... Bob Schiffer went out of his way to meet with us on a Saturday, he took time with us, explained everything in detail, and helped us through the application process. He followed up with us and has prepared us for each next step. We are so grateful to Bob Schiffer!

Tim Munson and AD Energy=Great!!!

Tim Munson from Ad Energy was awesome! From the night my wife and I meant him to discuss about getting solar till the job was complete, he was on point. If any issue or concern we had he made sure it was resolved or informed us what the process would be. Tim is a great individual and represents Ad Energy in a great light. He made sure we understood and were aware of the steps involved in the process. The product is great and the team is very knowledgeable and helpful. If any upcoming changes or questions came up Tim was there to answer from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Tim and Ad Energy for Solar
