Exciting Adventure!
My husband and I are so excited about our new system! Our Sales person was Lucas and he was absolutely great! He thoroughly explained how the system works and how the installation process would go. The Installers were professional and quick and everything went smoothly. We flipped our switch on yesterday and I am excited to see how everything works out!!

Terrible customer service
Hard to be brief about the terrible customer service I received. The system was installed September of 2023 and as of September of 2024 it is finally producing the way it should. I called repeatably and was promised someone would call, I never received a call from them. I had two dead strings of panel, one on each of the Tesla panels. One of the strings had burnt in the junction box on my roof. Really glad my house did not burn down. The other string was producing but the Tesla panel was programmed wrong, so it was not accepting the power being produced, so that was wrong from installation. My opinion is get someone else for solar! Sun solar is not a company you want to have issues with because once they sell the loan and they get paid, you will not matter to them!

I talked to about 6 solar companies before I went with sun solar on high recommendation from my neighbor he said they were great through whole process. So I met with Kyler Brown the most knowledgeable sales person I met with by far Kyler had very good demeanor and explained things very well.If you r going to go solar this is the guy to talk to.Then I started the next process with Bridget Goff she contacted me on every next move and went over everything and kept me up to date on everything going on. The crew that worked on panels insulation all were very friendly and courteous. They had to call me because they couldn’t get my wife at home 1 day and he said happy Friday Mr Madden ( made my day) from Kyler to Bridget to the whole crew . A plus team thanks Sun Solar team your hard work is truly recognized . I will follow up later with how the system is doing for me and all the follow up. We may have to bring out 10 stars. Thanks again

Leaking roof
My system was installed in 2013, my ceiling is ruined. The "front desk" lady is nice, but I haven't had any other responses. I first contacted them 3 weeks ago. I just want my panels moved to a ground install.

Horrible Management & customer service
I am a disabled Veteran, on a limited budget. I decided to go solar to help with the high cost of electric. I started the solar process in July 2023, my sales rep quit in October 2023 during the contract process. My new salesman was Jeff Winheim(sales manager). He made my wife and I feel like we were the most important people in the world, until the company received payment from our finance company. From that point on Jeff Winheim (sales Manager) and Arron Moore (North Sales Director) wouldn’t accept our phone calls or return any of our e-mails. I purchased a solar system and a 22KVA generator. The generator was installed over 2 months ago and still had not been set up by Sun Solar. The generator has never been started to see if it will even power my home. My original salesman sent me an e-mail stating Sun Solar would pay for the gas line installation to power the generator. I sent in the bill totaling $5026.00 for the gas line installation...Crickets! I also found out after the fact that three thousand dollars of the total cost of the generator was for gas line installation. All in all, I paid $8026.00 for installation. I have tried several times to e-mail and call with regards to reimbursement and contract completion no replies. The Management of this company is the worst I have ever seen and the customer service is Horrible. Do yourself a favor…Stay away from this company!

Poor customer service
The company canceled Fridays appointment and rescheduled for thanksgiving, Then neither canceled nor showed up. Doesnt know how to service their equipment after installs. Doesnt know how to set up a schedule, doesnt know how to get a job done, did a site survey and f'ed it up and i could go on. Seriously don't pay these guy until the jobs complete and you better have insurance cause you cant trust them according to these other reviews.

Pretty honest
Really an honest company here guys. I signed 3 months ago an my install is scheduled. Whole time I had some updates, and wasn't left in the dark by my sales guy. He answered all my questions and didn't know some answers, ok. but took the time to call and find them for me. Would send him to my family just cause of the updates.

Unprofessional
We have been shopping for solar and Sun Solar was in our top 2 final choices. However, they lost the sale because their office and our sales rep, Jenny, called or texted us constantly despite us saying we were still reviewing and had questions but would get back to them when we were ready. Jenny's final text was "If you do not want solar, let me know, I am very busy and will move on." When I called her to say spamming a potential client is poor business practice after they have asked you to refrain, I was told she did not need advice from me, then proceeded to talk over me loudly. Last I checked, a good salesperson LISTENS to their client and does not berate them. I suppose she just made our decision easier as now we will choose the other company. If this is their sales process, I can only imagine what their installation and service might be like.

Poor customer service
Really sad customer service. Sun Solar replaced my original inverter back in 2021 since my initial installer had gone out of business. They had me sign an administrative transfer of rights to monitor my system and had a tech come out and do the work. He was great, and no issues, until that inverter quit working in less than two years. This was a warranty claim, and instead of taking care of it, they told me I wasn't a customer and they're not taking on any new customers. So you have administrative rights to monitor my system and I've paid you $380 in labor to fix my system in the past, (after being quoted $280), but I'm not your customer? What a bunch of bs that is. Why monitor a system you have no intention of helping fix if there's an issue? I asked them to send me a form to revoke those monitoring rights. Find another company that will stand behind their work. Instead of scheduling a tech for half a day they left me stranded with no working inverter and no company to fix it. I'll be leaving this review every place I can find to leave it. Hopefully it keeps others from contacting this company.
