Olson Solar Gets 5 Stars
Olson Solar provided service and installation of solar systems in two of our homes. The first one was a reinstall of a system that was removed by the previous owner. This was complicated because our electric company had never had that happen belore. The staff at Olson took that on, and they really made it all work. They made multiple visits to make the appropriate connections and worked very well with our electric company. I do not think we could have done it without Olson Solar. The second installation was a brand new one so it was easier on us. Once again, Olson Solar took care of all permits, site readiness and the installation was painless. They were all so pleasant to have around the house that we missed them when it was all done. When I have questions of any kind, they are very responsive. It feels very good to know they are there to help if there is a need. I highly recommend Olson Solar!

Overall we had a great experience with Olson Solar. Everyone throughout the project was great to work with few hiccups. Would recommend anyone to use them if you are looking at doing solar.

Working Great
System has been operational for 2 years and couldn't be happier. Our bill with Xcel is only $16 a month. The project manager walked us through the process and made sure the project was done in a timely manner. Great team and quality work.

Paying for something that isn't working
Took out a loan for solar- figured I would be growing towards energy independence and the system would eventually pay for itself. Wrong. Since having solar installed, I have almost doubled my electricity consumption. It's as if the energy I am producing is being charged as if I am using it. This has been a bad experience from the beginning. They bored under my blacktop driveway and heaved it up. They installed a monitoring system for my solar and it hasn't worked in 3 months. Nobody will help me troubleshoot. When the system was working, I constantly had one panel that wasn't producing solar. If you want to fight constantly with your system, go ahead. I regret this purchase 100%

Great solar company
Olson Solar was great throughout the process of evaluating our property, keeping us informed, getting needed permits, installation, and follow-up on teaching us about monitoring our new system, and receiving tax rebates. HIGHLY recommend them!

An Excellent Solar Energy Provider Company
I have a new 16 panel ground mounted system and wish to thank Olson Solar Energy for the excellent job they did on my project. They worked with me on both the quantity of solar panels required as well as the variation between roof mount and ground mount systems. Being in a rural area, the ground mount was a better means to get a higher power output from the solar panels. The layout went very well with them and I will also like to commend the installation crew for making some minor adjustments to the grounds around my solar grid to allow for a better layout to provide the highest available light level around all the trees on my property. I am very satisfied with all the professional services Olson Solar Energy provided on this project as well as with the Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative who got the system activated promptly after finally receiving the delayed site inspection approval by Adams County. I would highly recommend working with Olson Solar Energy on getting a solar panel system designed and installed on your property and feel free to contact me if you wish to view my site or if I can answer any questions on my system.

Incompetence all around
Worst experience ever! First of all I want to say we were probably very excited to have panels. Basically they never got the correct approvals from out power company to have the panels hooked up on our property even after having us come with $10000 more than the quoted amount. They put up the panels just to have the master electrician come and figure out that we need tons of extras in order to make them work. Owner never took any ownership of the screw up and blamed the power company and proceeded to belittle me for the fact that I was upset with the fact that they lied about the problems for over a month and kept telling us that we were going to have the panels up running every week. And when I called them out and expected answer they told me I stress them out and that they will not talk to me and hung up on me. This was a $70000 project I think I had every reason to be upset and demand answers. We never received an apology for these issues from the owners.

Excellent Job!
Olson Solar did a great job installing our new solar system. Our project manager kept us abreast of the progress every step of the way and made sure we understood everything. All their installers were efficient getting the system installed in just a few hours, and kept our property clean. Now that it's up and running, it's great to see how much clean energy it's producing and sending back to the power grid. I highly recommend Olson Solar Energy if you're looking to add solar to your home or business! Keep in mind this is a process that takes a few months from beginning to end because of all the steps involved. Our system was connected to the grid within the 4 months we were told to expect, and at about a week in service, everything's looking good!
