Comprehensive Service for Solar
Premier Solar helped bring onsite renewable energy to my home, helping through every step in the process. Utilizing their knowledge and skill, they helped me easily navigate from evaluation, selection of product, layout, procurement of financing/incentives, permitting and project management. Their team quickly and professionally managed the installation of the solar panels, allowing us to generate more than 75% of our annual energy use. This includes the power for my Chevy Volt.

Like a bunch of Eskimos
We rarely write reviews, but given the work that was done, I have to say that it is warranted since I would like to explain to others why we had a good experience with Premier Solar. Our house in Westchester NY is luckily unencumbered with shade and we tried getting a quote from a company. It turned out that what we thought was a local company was in fact based in the Mid West and farmed out contract work. For a while we were stumped, but through poking around the electrician community we stumbled on Premier.<br /><br />What we got was a salesman who came to our house and was both deferential and polite. He was definitely not making a hard sell, he wanted to get it right and he did. The vagaries of the tax code, given the new tax law, made it imperative to get the job done before the end of 2017. This was November. Premiere took care of the local permits, the NYSERDA rebate and Con Edison's permissions and so we were into mid December. And that is where the eskimos came in.<br /><br />Initially when Premiere started there it was cold (very cold) and there was snow on the roof. They took care of that snow on the first day despite the fact that I could not stand to be out in the less than balmy weather. Over the next day, they installed the racking and 30+ solar panels were installed on the 2nd day and the final connections were made to the house wiring. We stil have to get Con Ed to approve the installation and install a net meter. <br /><br />By the way because Thevenin is always right and the existing Con Ed Meters don't read reverse current, you will find that any test electricity that the solar panels will feed back into the grid but the meter measures this as power used because it cannot discriminate between a forward and backward current. So not only are you paying for the power you use, but the power pushed back into the grid is also billed to your meter. So don't leave the testing on for long.<br /><br />The installers braved some pretty tough weather with politeness, attention to detail and good humour. They were careful to clean their shoes when then came to use the facilities and cleaned every last piece of debris. <br /><br />The entire company is run ethically it seems and they also do what they say when they say it. They show up at 8 am not 8:15 or later when they say they are coming at 8 am.<br /><br />Their salesman Rob and their office team that deals with project management and billing are accurate and address issue with clarity and rigor<br /><br />We could not be more pleased about their work and installation.

THE BEST COMPANY
I sat down with many company's then i found Premier. Chris and his people are the best. They are only interested in giving you what is best for you not just trying to make a sale. My sales rep. was Pete Poselli and what a great and knowledgeable man he is. This company will bend over backwards to help you if needed. Chris the owner is a veteran that served this country but that is not the reason I used him. it is because they do what they say and are true to their word. Mary who is in the office is always ready to help. These are GREAT PEOPLE to do business with.

The Best Experience
Solar companies calling everyday with leases and rent to own nonsense. How does one makes sense of it all. I personally met with a few and was not impressed until I met Chris at Premier Solar.. What a nice guy and he completely understands the solar industry. We went through my choices and what I wanted to get from solar. He came up with a great system that is saving me money every day. The installation was also very professional and went smoothly. Finding the best was tough but well worth it

Hats Off!
Once my electric bill exceeded $700/month last summer, I knew something had to give. I had an energy audit and changed to LED bulbs and wrapped the AC air handler, insulated the attic, etc. Those were all modest cost saving measures, but I wanted a big impact as these PSE&G bills were way too high so I began to explore solar.<br /><br />I did some solar research, read online articles and analyzed the cost/benefit of installing solar incorporating rebate incentives and cost per system size/watt, etc. I met with a few vendors with my two primary concerns being how this would impact the look of my home and whether this would be a good investment to save on electric costs over time. When I met with Chris at Premier, it was a different discussion than the other vendors. Chris didn't use the same scripted pitch the other guys used, but instead focused directly on my two primary concerns. It wasn't as much a sales pitch as it was an informative, collaborative discussion. He, and the Premier team, were flexible in locating the panels and Chris was very competitive on price (the best of the several vendors I spoke with).<br /><br />Chris walked me through the timeline as I was concerned in getting installed before year end so that I could take advantage of the Federal and State incentives in tax year 2016. Chris and team delivered in that promise and more importantly, the generation after eight months is even exceeding our target! Overall, the install was only a couple of days and I'm enjoying some significant electrical savings and helping the environment. Hats off to Chris and the entire Premier Solar team!

A perfect experience
Chris was extremely friendly and helpful, and took care of the overwhelming majority of the paperwork. The installation was done quickly and professionally, and we've had not a spot of trouble since. The system has consistently outperformed our expectations over this first year, and we look forward to reaping its benefits for years to come.

Excellent work and great service
I selected Premier Solar based on their professional attitude to due the right work and maintain the system with any issues that may arise. The installation took place Aug. 2016 and everything has performed just as it was supposed to and we have saved tremendously as a result of having solar power installed. Thank you Chris and your excellent staff!

I hired Premier Solar Solutions to install a Hyuandi 290 7k system with a Solar Edge inverter on my home and I am very satisfied with both the product and service. After meeting with several companies in my area, I was referred to Chris Hoffman by a colleague from work, who used Preimer. I have to say that I was impressed with Chris and his initial presentation. He is very knowledgeable of this industry and was informative and sensitive to my questions and concerns. I never felt pressured or that I was experiencing a sales pitch. Instead, Chris kept the numbers objective and fact-based. In fact, my final purchase price was exactly the quoted amount; he even through in a critter guard and all permits were include the original quote. Furthermore, his relationship with Sungage Financial (DCU Bank) was also a factor due to their excellent solar packages, competitive rates, and ease of service. <br /><br />On the installation, Chris's team was professional and clean. They took the time to run the electrical conduits from the roof to the inverter though the attic, as to have no visible hardware on the side of the house. They completed the entire job and set up the monitoring in two days. In total, the whole process ending up being six weeks, a solid two weeks sooner then anticipated. This was great since the system was turned on by the end of March, and has been cranking ever since. So far they produced 1.14MWh in six weeks, which covers almost 100% of my usage. <br /><br />So that is my experience converting to Solar. I would definitely recommend Chris and his team (I forgot to mention Mary from his office who is great!) I thought that it was important to hire a company whose owner is hands on, friendly, knowledgeable, and will not hesitate to address any questions or concerns.<br /><br />Highly recommended. Give them a call.

New install by premier solar
I decided to take the leap and think about solar. It sure helps make that decision when you have a little one running around and one on the way with everything in the house getting left on.<br /><br />I called premier after a family member recommend them and I couldn't be happier. From the salesman that came and patiently answered everyone of my questions to the office staff who kept me in the loop during the permit process and scheduling.<br /><br />Just when I thought it couldn't get better the instal team shows up. I've worked on construction sites when I was younger and I can't remember seeing the type of white glove service I received unless it was in a millionaires house.<br /><br />I was also impressed about the skill that was shown. It was quite windy the day the panels went on and the guys just ran up the ladder with ease while having a panel in their other arm.<br /><br />By the time everything was done you couldn't even tell they were there. Not one spec of garbage was left and my system was up and running.<br /><br />The installer even came back the day the town inspector was to come to ease my fears and answer any questions he might have.<br /><br />Even after all that I received calls and emails from the office asking how things were going and walking me through how to monitor the panels from my computer.<br /><br />Chris and premier do more then make you feel like a customer they give you the satisfaction of putting pride in their work and will not stop until you are completely happy. <br /><br />Thanks again to their great team and the ladies at the office.<br /><br />Kenny

Highly Recommended
A+ experience. Had a 10.9kWp system put in in late August. First months bill with solar was 77% less than prior year, second month was 133%, net credit. The entire process was seamless. Chris is a pleasure to work with, always willing to share his knowledge. Installation done by Jake and Edwin was quick, neat and efficient. Mary was a great communicator throughout the entire process. If you plan to go solar, this is an honest, fair and reliable local L.I. company...you will be highly satisfied!
