No reason to look elsewhere…
I can't say enough about Rising Sun and our local rep, Jeremy. I never used other companies on Kaua'i, so maybe I'm myopic. Bit with excellent quality and followup service, if and when needed, I've no reason to look elsewhere. In fact, we're asking Jeremy to help us expand our current system, now that we have two electric cars on island.

Solar
From the beginning to the end of the solar process it was pretty smooth! We’ve had our solar for about 2 years and had no trouble! The installation took a few days in total however they would always communicate and keep us in the loop!! The beginning process took a little long however give and take their permitting process and all the logistics! Everyone we worked with was always ready and available!

Super easy to set up a complete 40 panel 2 battery Tesla system with Jeremy and the professionals at Rising sun Solar - design team easy to deal with and coordinate different ideas, and the install team was very knowledgeable and professional… I am running a complete 4000 sq. Ft home in princeville with 5 AC units and a Tesla Y vehicle almost for free … 5 star.

Everything Great to Say
My wife and I are very pleased with Rising Sun. Most importantly, the solar system has been up and running for six months and has not experienced a single problem. The process getting there was marked by a high degree of professionalism and flexibility by all areas of the business. The employees were uniformly courteous and always aimed to please. We are happy we chose Rising Sun for the job and love being able to live our lives without the disruption of Kauai’s frequent power outages and to be able to generate the electricity needed for our daily lives.

2nd solar in home
First time using Rising Sun. The advice they gave us was useful. So happy we ended up getting the max panels we got and adding 2 Tesla batteries with an option for a 3rd. The batteries make a HUGE different in helping with storage. Best advice I can provide is to listen to their advice. Keep your eye on the ball every month with your bill and call them immediately with issues. They are responsive - even with the lack of availability of workers on island.

Awesome Company
Rising Sun was excellent to work with. If I had a question before the completion of the installation someone was always able to help me. Everyone was very knowledgeable and kind. While Rising Sun has no control over the shipping of materials, they did keep me informed of possible delays and updated me on the status of our panels. The guys who came to install were very efficient and helpful in answering our questions. All permits and paperwork with KIUC were handled so seamlessly! Looking forward to the benefits of our new system.

Solar! Make the switch!
Working with Jeremy and Rising Sun Solar was a very comfortable experience for us. From the sales office, to the installation techs, to the quality of the products used, were top shelf. Our installation took longer than usual, last year, due to the supply chain issues that were just starting to improve. Jeremy communicated regularly putting our minds at ease during the whole process and made himself available whenever we had questions. They've been in business on Kauai for a long, long time and they know their business! They'll give you what you need and only what you need. What more can you ask? Great products, great service
Rising Sun Solar installed systems (panels and tesla batteries) on two homes in Poipu for us. They have been a joy to work with. The installation was done in a timely manner by friendly people. The systems are working flawlessly, and their follow-up has been great. I highly recommend them.

Find the cash and do it
You may be able to expect some delays with materials, or your specific Power Company on whichever Island you work with them on, But Rising Sun themselves prove to be great partners, provided incredible value, and what absolutely recommend them as your GC. Joe and Sam at Rising Sun approached my job top to bottom , made things simple , always responded to me quickly , and maintain contact after the work was done to ensure proper function . The benefits of installing PV are just getting stronger, and one of these years the tax breaks are going to go away. If you're settled, don't expect to move, and have equity in your property, I can think of few better ways to reinvest in your residence. My electrical bill went from over 500 to under a hundred bucks. It would be zero right now, but all the extra power has enabled me to lead a higher standard of living, and now I enjoy air conditioning Around the Clock, an additional refrigerator and gaming PC, and soon an ev.
