Looked like a great job, but one failure after another
We had Sunlight Solar install a solar system in 2016 with a SolarEdge inverter system. From day 1, we had problems. The system looked good on the surface, so when they said it was the Electric company messing with the meter, I went after the electric company (filed a Consumer Complaint with Utilities Commission). They changed the meter. Same problem. Then Sunlight Solar blamed SolarEdge equipment. Long story short, SolarEdge replaced the inverter. SolarEdge replaced the failed optimizers, which Sunlight charged me nearly $240 a PIECE for labor.... 5x after the labor warranty ran out. Charged me $340 to replace the Inverter, also labor only. SolarEdge charged me to replace a panel that blew off in a storm. FINALLY, SolarEdge (manufacturer) themselves sent a tech out, because the sheer number of failures made no sense. Turns out Sunlight Solar replaced the WRONG Optimizers several times, screwed up the wiring itself, did NOT secure all the panels to my roof properly, and basically messed up the install, then messed the entire system up worse each time they charged for a service call (which was every few months, if you called weekly, since they never fully fixed any of the issues, always leaving at least 1 unfixed). SolarEdge (the manufacturer) fixed the equipment, and in 2021, it's finally working flawlessly. However, SolarEdge said that the panels are still not properly secured to my roof by Sunlight Solar, so a storm can blow those panels off (BROKEN attachments were used, roof attachments don't break themselves), and the wiring was tied together so tightly that any movement could tear optimizers off or create power problems, among other issues (putting in a clamp box from the wall to the Inverter, that had NOTHING IN IT, no wires at all). I emailed Sunlight Solar. I called Sunlight Solar. I got a 'owner will get back to you, he's out of town'. Now, I'm pursuing other options. Sunlight Solar are very nice and seemingly sincere people. They are very convincing. It's everyone's fault but their own. They are doing the best job they can. They will come to your house, when they finally schedule you a month or 2 later because they are always waiting months for parts that turns out SolarEdge sent out in a day, and spend HOURS waiting for the 'tech support' at the manufacturers to call them back for a reset (something the manufacturer said was unnecessary, but how would you know that?), proving to you that it's the manufacturer's fault. After they take your money for install, be prepared to pay and pay and pay some more for all the parts that they did not correctly install in the first place, or the panels getting blown off your roof, while blaming the equipment manufacture. Solar is EXPENSIVE, and I absolutely would do it again. But not with Sunlight Solar. Be warned.

I found Sunlight Solar to be an oasis in the sea of troubled waters of solar industries. They were very straight-forward, courteous, and delivered on what they promised, and then some. I highly recommend!!!
