Somethings fishy imo
We were in the process of getting solar and then saw an article where they have a possible class action started by the attorney General for failure to deliver, false signatures, impersonation, saying prices won't rise but then they do for leases, ect. (https://portal.ct.gov/ag/press-releases/2024-press-releases/attorney-general-tong-sues-sunrun) We reached out because obviously we were concerned they said they would connect us to our sales rep and rest assured they would help us with our concerns and next day our contract was cancelled. I think we doged a bullet thank goodness.

Borderline Harassment with solicitations
I've been approached by Sunrun 3 times in the last 2 months and have made it clear that I'm not interested in solar panels at this time. I told them to put me on the no contact / solicitation list and they still continue to show up at my door step. This is borderline harassments.

Over promised under performed
Sunrun has not saved us anything on our electric costs when the lease payments are added to annual cost. Panels on roof have made sale of property less attractive to potential buyers. Sunrun over promises and under performs. Let the buyer beware

Stay away from Sunrun!
Salesman sold lies and promises that Sunrun would not back up or take responsibility for. I was sold a power wall that was being discontinued and received an inverter instead of the new electrical box/panel as stated. Customer Service is a joke and definitely outsourced to another country. Hard to understand reps or they do not know what they are doing/talking about. Filing with the BBB. Please stay away from this company. You will be sorry.

Out of the blue, an offer that was too good to be true
Someone gave my name and a pleasant agent called me and offered me free: re wiring for the conversion, installation of necessary hardware for the Tesla battery, installation of 9 free solar panels, etc. Too good to be true? Nope, it is all done and I have not a single piece of really intelligent knowledge about how it really works. So I am now a Solar house with all the attendant equipment. Only thing I can fault is the lack of well written backup material for me to consult. Every explanation was from bright and intelligent employees. But they really need a set of written explanations. In almost every case a well written document is a thousand times better than a cheesy video. DocuSign videos couldn’t be read on my iPhone 8. Too small and not enlargeable.

No customer service at all!!!
SunRun removed solar panels for needed roof repair. Trying to get the company to reinstall the panels has been impossible. For two months I have been in contact with the company. I have been in an email conference with their case menager and her supervisor since Sept &, 2024. It is now November 21, 2024. They have done nothing to correct the problem. The solar panels are sitting in my garage. I have no use of the garage. I have called the customer service rep and got no where. The rep infpomed me that the customer service division is not authorized to contact the division handling my problem. There is nothing they can do to help me. Ovoid doing business with this company.

Consumer BEWARE!
I understand SunRun is “cleaning up” from Viviants mess. However, from shady salespeople and misleading contract coercion, installers causing massive damage, not taking responsibility, and basically giving the run around constantly to avoid paying for their mistakes. On top of their shady and unfair billing and power purchasing shinanigans with SDG&E. I have NEVER seen such a scam in my entire life. Sales person completely took advantage selling more than 2x the amount of panels needed, promising free batteries to store all of the extra power we produce, never happened. The way the claim to pay you back for extra power producing is a flat out lie. Your true up gives you a credit that is not redeemable. Then the true up starts over in October when you would need this credit. So basically you spend all summer producing so much power you don’t know what to to with then when the winter comes and you are producing less your credit disappears and starts over! Still, in the mean time you still pay SunRun monthly for power that YOU produce. This is only a small part of this mess.

Dishonest. Slippery sales people
I was behind in my electric bills, so the electric company would not release my account to go live with solar. The SunRun sales person said that SunRun would pay off my balance. He made the payment right in front of me telling me not to tell anybody he was doing this. Once he made the payment, the electric company released my account and gave the go ahead to switch to solor. When I got my bill, I saw that the payment was reversed due to insufficient funds. I called them and they confirmed that the funds had been re-deposited into the payers account, a.k.a. the sales person.

CROOKED SALESPEOPLE
Just had a knock on my door by a person who claimed he was 'working in the area and that there is a problem with my electric meter'. He then demanded access to my meter claiming he was with PG&E. I informed him that PG&E employees do not wear Sunrun shirts. I then asked to see his REQUIRED soliciting permit my town requires. He claimed he didn't need one and that Sunrun has a 'partnership' with PG&E. They do not. None of the solar companies have any partnership with PG&E. He again claimed that he needed access to my meter and I told him to get the hell off my property and that he ILLEGALLY is knocking on doors without a permit AND also violated the law that bans knocking on doors with no soliciting signs. He then proceeded to go harass my neighbors. I called the police to ticket him. Sunrun will lose any ability to knock on doors in this town with these actions. If you are this crooked just trying to sale your stuff, you never will have me as a customer.
