Trustworthy company

Z** and C****** knocked on my door and told me about their program that could save me 30% on my bill. I had looked at Solar previously but it was so costly. I liked this option because they simply provided the equipment and I pay a much cheaper price. They got my average rate from 48 cents down to 30 cents! They did tell me it would take 2-3 months to be completed… it took about 10 weeks from start to finish just like they told me.

It’s been a smooth process. They have communicated well and the office keeps me updated. They did have to visit twice to complete the install but that’s expected with construction projects. Overall loved the process and I’m paying 30 cents for power now just like they had said!

Stop Harassing | Upland, California | 03/03/2025

Sales Harassment-Upland

I am writing to formally address an ongoing issue with your sales employee, William, who has continued to harass us despite our clear request to stop. On several occasions, we have informed him that we are not interested in his services and explicitly requested that he not return. However, he came back on both Friday and today, disregarding our prior request. During his visits, he falsely claimed to be a government employee, stating that he was required to inform us about rising Edison rates. I am unsure if this is part of your employee training, but his actions of misrepresenting himself as a government official and ignoring our clear instructions are completely unacceptable. We reiterated that we do not want him or anyone from your company on our property, yet he continued to insist that another salesperson might visit if there are any changes with the rates. Please ensure that your sales team, particularly those in your Upland office, are properly trained on the legal guidelines for sales practices in California. Misrepresentation and failure to respect a customer's request to not solicit are serious issues. For your reference, we have recorded this interaction, and we made William aware of this fact during the conversation. We expect immediate action on this matter and do not want any further contact from your company.

Customer services and communication

I started the process of getting V3ELECTRIC to install solar power and a Tesla battery in Nov 2023. I asked them to delay the install until Jan 2025. They did that. They performed the install and a comment by one of the installers got me concerned about the company's knowledge of solar power and integration with existing solar on my residence. Since then I have asked to have someone explain exactly how the system is integrated and works with my existing solar. It has been over a month (currently Feb 28, 2025 and I have heard NOTHING back from them about my questions. PLEASE DO NOT GO INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY WITHOUT INVESTIGATING THEM. Or just go with someone else. These guys are AMATEURS concerning solar power and customer experience.

False in misleading business practices

I am incredibly disappointed in all areas of this company. I was told that I would be purchasing my electricity through a hem and at a lower rate than PG&E. I was shown my monthly usage and promised my system would produce enough for my needs. However this was incredibly misleading and is not the case. I now pay two electric bills. One to PG&E and one to V3. This is one of my issues. I was never told that I was required to have WiFi for the system. I now have another bill for that. The instigation was incomplete and the rep i initially spoke with told me my panel would be replaced. At the first power outage I called V3 because I was having an issue. It was after hours and I was directed to call the after hours emergency number. I did so and no one ever called me back. I have had issues with the system and apparently who ever installed it wired it backwards and it was showing I was as drawing from the grid and not sending to the grid. I feel lied to and cheated. I hate this company

Do not use them

Horrible customer service, lack of communication, had a whole in my side wall 2x weeks with no communication on when it would be fixed

TOM | Martinez, California | 10/21/2024

Service is less then par.

Great sales pitch.. And I fell for it.. Tom, the salesman who lives in Martinez, CA made promises his company would or could not keep! Solar was installed in June 2024. Service is still not up and running. V3 has shown up at my door multiple times with no appointment and yet when appointments are set, they just flake or cancel the 7am. appointments 10 min. before the showup time, in which Contra Costa County Permit office was also suppose to come to finalize the approvals for setup. I have now been flaked on 3 times by physical show up and 7 times by phone.. All on txt (records). Worst company I have dealt with in my life, for sure.. They either are the most incompetent at what they are doing or are just truly that awful of a company.

SCAM company 8/7/24

Scam artist came to our door, knocking and explained how busy PG&E he is going to raise prices every year or even every six months. Explained us how we will be saving money on our trip bill. be already had 22 panels and threw up bill was around 1500. so be signed up for eight more panels and battery. it took them almost a year to install. But the biggest scam be found out this month August 2024. When we received a bill from PG&E for $586. on top of this we are paying hundred dollars to this company. What happened was we were at NEM 2 and because they installed more than 10% of the grid, it automatically changed us to NEm 3. so now we are struggling to find out what’s gonna happen to us because our bill is 500% more. OMg for the scam artists. They did not care that this would happen. It will change us to three, which is a rip off from PG&E. Now instead of getting through a bill from PG&E, we will be getting bill from them every month. God knows how much it’s going to be every month. Please do not use this company. I am in process of seeking legal help, and I will be complaining to BBB. it is a total mess. It is a disaster. if you want to save yourself, please do not ever let V 3 scam you. Their customer service also is in Philippines, who they will not even let you talk to the managers. BE CAREFUL AND BE EDUCATED BEFORE EVEN TALK TO THEM.

SEVERAL INSTALLS AND WE HAVE TO DO THIS AND THAT NOW BECAUSE OF THIS AND THAT. I found out they signed everything off and she signed her contract months later. Well power went out……. OraG | West Covina, California | 07/03/2024

Scammers

Beware of the SCAM ARTIST C******. He will trick you in to signing a 30 year contract and tell you it’s Government funded you only need to pay for the utility at 30% less than what your paying for now, then he will have you sign his table one page but the contact is actually 77 PAGES LONG!!! You will actually be tricked into leasing the solar panels for an expensive set fee monthly then also having to Pay Edison for the usage. You will end up paying three times more of what you’re paying now. Complete SCAM

Self Generation Incentive Program

Really helpful reps with V3, they gave us the information we needed to get ready for the appointment we set. They work with the SGIP in order to make the installs. We were able to look into the program ourselves so we knew what we were getting into before hand. Recommending to my friends.

About V3 Electric

V3 was founded as a response to the stagnation within the energy industry. We are California’s largest local solar company and intend to become the nation’s best energy provider. We believe in choice; Americans should be able to choose where and how they buy their energy, the same way we choose to buy everything else.
