The best price, but rocky ride

When I was looking for a solar system with a backup battery system for my house, nobody was able to beat Texoma's prices. Their prices were about $10K less than the other installers. Yes, their communication was not the best, but manageable (I kept records of emails and phone calls), there were some delays with the installation (about 45-60 days delay...not horrible for a project of this magnitude), and some errors during the install/materials delivered (I ordered 400w panels and received 340w panels...Texoma installed additional panel. The additional panels increase the productivity of my system by 25%). At the end of the day Anthony responded to each one of those concerns. Additionally, I noticed a HUGE improvement with their communication towards the end of the project! Anthony brought an enphase engineer to QA the 10-T back up system. Anthony corrected each one of the issues and in some cases, in some occasions he went above and beyond. His electricians are 1000% honest and very knowledgeable with the system. I cannot ask for more. We are super happy with the system, which is working as advertised. We are planning to expand the capabilities of my system and probably will use Texoma again.

Rip off

Have had system for a year now and have had problems from the get go. Install was horrible they had parts all over our yard and driveway and said they would come and clean and did a crappy job the second time, tried to get parts fixed and they never called back to schedule, put a whole in our roof and again never came out to fix nor pay the roofers to come out and fix, now we are moving and we were told they would come and remove and place on our new home in the beginning but can’t get a hold of anyone. Seems like company is just a big scam. DO NOT DO IT NOT WOETH THE HEADACHE AMD NEVER GET MONEY FROM ELECTRIC.

SCAM

TOOK A FULL WITHDRAW FROM MY CREDIT UNION FOR ENTIRE SYSTEM COST OF $70K AND CAUSE ALL KINDS OF DAMAGE TO MY HOME INCLUDING STEPPING THROUGH THE CEILINIG, DAMAGED MY GUTTERS, HAD TO REPLACE MY ROOF. NO SYSTEM ON MY PROPERTY PRESENTLY. DISCONNECTED ALL THIER FAMILY PHONES AND IGNORES MY TEXT ON THE ONLY PHONE THAT SEEMS TO BE CONNECTED. REPORTING TO DISTRICT ATTORNEY

Crooked company CEO.

Took my money and zero customer service. Still trying to get repairs done after a year long with the system. No responses to calls or texts. This CEO needs some prison time for his solar company scam.

Incomplete Work. Seeking Legal Remedies

I purchased a solar system on the week of black Friday 2022. I was was supposed to get a 24 month rebate back after purchase valued near $3800. No only that... the system is incomplete and I never got meter that allows me to sell back to the grid. Can anyone recommend a small claims lawyer? I've been ghosted at this point.

The headache isn't worth the discount

If it were possible, I would rate my experience with ZERO stars. Rather than go on and on about the poor communication and unreliable commitments, I'll simply say I had an Outback system installed on a remote cabin in August of 2022 that has not ran for more that 48 consecutive hours once. I go to the place every couple of weekends, more often during hunting season. I don't need the system to run while we're there. We have a propane generator for running high demand appliances and water pump. The solar feed just needs to run while we're away so we can keep cold drinks and condiments in the fridge. Every time I've arrived, for SIX months, I've arrived to find the system in fault. Each time, I follow up with the office and the installer to report the problem and make the request for someone come check it out. If I'm lucky, someone will be out within three to four weeks of the initial report. For example, the system is currently in fault, it was reported on February 11th, and when the tech finally made it out there this week, the system was too dead to bring it back to life. They're going to have to contact the manufacturer to see what they can do. I don't know when that will happen, or when they'll be back. It hasn't been right for 6 months, so what's another couple of weeks, right? Terrible, terrible, terrible service. I would have rather took my money and lit it on fire than to have put up with this. At least then, the pain would have ended quickly. Stay away. Stay far, far away!

No support for their faulty installation

Want to turn solar from a financial "win" to a "loss"? Call Texoma Solar! Had the panels now for 4 years. We had an inverter die 2 years ago, so I reached out to support. No response to phone or email. Had to find another company to do the repair and paid out of pocket. 2 months ago, our 2nd inverter died. I had 2 providers come out and both said that the system wasn't properly grounded (I had to pay both companies for their time and labor). I called Texoma and spoke with customer service that said they'd get me on the schedule for warranty. That was over a week ago, no response to emails, "Contact us" or my last 3 phone calls, all went to voicemail. Looks like I'm calling the other guys back out to both replace the inverter and fix the installation! This just turned into a net financial loss over 5, possibly 10 years depending on how much I have to pay for the fix.

Communication

This company lacks communication. It's like pulling teeth to get a schedule.

Won't respond

I've had problems through every stage of my install. From lies about my loan payments won't start for 6 weeks after the install is complete ( they started a full month before my system ever generated any power) to promises of tasks and how they will be preformed to get me to add a generator to my system, that they didn't know how to install. And didn't install it how they said they would costing me and extra $3,000. And after that I tested the generator ( not Anthony or his crew) and found that they only wired in half of my house. 4 months later the only response I could get was through the BBB because Anthony would not answer or return my phone calls. Now he is saying that their job is done and I need to re hire them if I want the rest of my house hooked up to my generator. They left holes in the side of panels where bugs could get in and compromise circuts. The battery was all choroded and the air intake on the generator wasn't even hooked up internaly. Choose wisely and avoid what I went through...please.

Reply from Texoma Solar Solutions: Hi Blake, if there is a punch list or items to be corrected, we are happy to service them for you as we honor our warranties. As for you generator, Your contract was for a 22kw generac generator and a 200 Amp Automatic Transfer switch. This has been delivered and installed as per the contract. This system can only service 1 200 amp breaker panel. If you wish to service the other breaker panel, you will need to purchase an additional 200 amp Automatic transfer switch. Again, if there is a punch list or service call needed, we honor our warranties. Please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you.

Terrible from start to finish.

There isn't enough room to tell the entire story. Short version, they either don't know what they are doing, or are intentionally misleading and/or ripping people off. From the beginning: #1 Cheaper panels installed than what was on the contract #1.5 Mixed brands and wattage of panels on initial install #2 Insufficient inverters for the size of the array (20kW) (provided two 7000w inverters initially) #3 Incorrect wire size from array to house causing inverter shutdowns #4 intentionally unhooked several panels making it look as though they were still connected, in order to "fix" the inverter shut down issue #5 Splice in main electrical line going to the house in the middle of the field #6 Smaller wire pigtail into box after 400 foot run of main line #7 Framework failed in wind 1 year after install - Had to be completely rebuilt from scratch on my dime #8 Company not listed on NABCEP website as advertised on Texoma Solar solutions website To his credit, Anthony "fixed" the issues as I discovered them and brought them to his attention, but typical homeowners with zero background in solar would have had no idea there were problems until their system just wasn't working right. After having a different installer rebuild the framework correctly, they also discovered many sloppy wiring details they fixed as well. As you readers might guess, I would definitely NOT recommend this installer. I'm really not sure how they are still in business.

Good job!

I bought a large system for my house that I was building -12Kw. I knew very little about solar power systems but wanted to invest in it on my forever home. Anthony helped explain everything and how to size it as well as the theoretical payoff timeline for my lat/lon. His crew installed it and came back out a few times to reconfigure the panels and inverter and troubleshoot a problem with one of the strings. He installed a Generac for emergency power, explaining that battery emergency power is only for very short periods and won't power the entire house. The Generac is a big investment but living in tornado alley meant I needed to plan for "when" I will lose power, not "if" I will lose power.

Awesome Company

This company installed my solar system and did a wonderful job. I had a ground mount done and it took 3 days to do the work. the first day they built the mount and let it set, the next day they came out and set all the panels, invertors, and then on the third day they trenched and did the electrical work. The installers were very knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves. They also did a nice job on covering up the trench. I love my system and have no electric bill. I am very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone.
