We did our research and found that Unique Solar gave us the most affordable price without skimping on quality. Their team ensured that we were aware of all the options available to us, and kept us informed during every step of the installation. Our installation was completed in 2016, but they still contact us years later if they notice any issues with our monitoring system. Great customer service!

Excellent experience, excellent price
I had a great experience with Unique Solar. We did a major house remodel this summer and took our time, but Ulf and Jeff were patient with me and walked me through every step, including the tax credit portion, which is a big reason why I made the decision to include solar during the remodeling process. Once I said, "Let's do this," Ulf jumped on the permitting process, and my solar system was installed pronto. Also, I got bids from four other solar companies and Unique, by far, was the best deal. That was very important to me as well since the house remodel was costly.

Fantastic Company Highly Recommended
We had been looking for a good solar company for a couple of years and Unique Solar was recommended to us by a very picky friend in Orange County. If he was happy I knew that they were the right company. They came to our home and were very professional. They listened to what I wanted as far as size and quality of solar panels and their placement on the roof. We signed our contract on December 15, 2016 and the installation was approved by the City of San Diego and SDG&E and was operating on January 5, 2017. Had to be a world record! I can monitor the solar panel power production on my cell phone and everything works as advertised. I highly recommend Unique Solar to anyone who wants a PV system.

Great Solar Company
After 3 estimates we chose Unique because we thought they were honest and submitted a fair quote. We initially met with Jeff and had a follow up meeting with Ulf, the owner. We were sold! Installation was timely and took 3 days. The crew were very respectful of our property and we were impressed with their great clean up job. We highly recommend Unique Solar!

Great Solar Experience
We got proposals from three solar companies before deciding on Unique Solar. From the initial sales contact with Jeff Hornick to interactions with owner Ulf Wladmann to communicating with the installation crew and electrician and coordinating with SDG&E, our experience with Unique Solar was great. They have the experience and expertise to answer questions and get the job done on time and on budget. I was very nervous about installing solar panels on our nearly-new tile roof. Ulf and Val (lead installer) took extra time to contact our roofer, chatted with the roofing company more than once, and ultimately took care of my concerns. Each person we interacted with from Unique Solar was professional, experienced, and performed excellent quality work. Our system is up and running, and we are very happy. We highly recommend Unique Solar.

Fast - Friendly & Affordable
MY AIR IS ON :-) AND I'VE STOPPED THINKING ABOUT MY ELECTRIC BILL!!!! WHAT A NICE FEELING......ESPECIALLY WHEN LOOKING AT THE HOT SUMMER FORECAST AHEAD <br /><br />After getting estimates from other companies, Unique and Costco were the lowest bidders. I picked Unique Solar for these reasons:<br /><br />Unique was very flexible and easy to work even when I asked to modify the equipment package. (switched to micro inverters, changed to black panels, and added 1 extra panel for all that air conditioning I was going to do :-) <br /><br />Equally important - they installed the system in less than 30 days - as promised. <br /><br />Their installation team did a great job too. My neighbor (who also has solar) commented on the outstanding attention to detail that Unique delivered compared to his installation.<br /><br />Understandably, I was looking for a solar installer that would be as concerned about my brand new roof as I was. The highly rated roofing company I used, shared that the owner of Unique Solar was previously in the roofing business! After learning this and seeing these 5 star reviews, I knew my brand new roof would be safe with these guys.<br /><br />Their proposal clearly identified the equipment I was going to receive. I was able to go right the manufacturers website were I learned more about the excellent warranty and the panel and inverter options. (I wasn't able to perform the same activities with Costco's proposal.)<br /><br /><br />If you are looking for pricing that high volume big corporations can offer and the attention to detail that consistently wins 5 star reviews.... <br /><br />YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU CHOSE UNIQUE SOLAR AS YOUR CONTRACTOR.

Very Happy with our solar in Poway
Unique Solar installed our solar panels in Oct 2015. From the no pressure sales, the immaculate way the crew cleaned up, and the savings we are getting every month, I would highly recommend Unique Solar! Very satisfied customer of Unique Solar. Writing to give an excellent two thumbs up recommendation of this solar company. Starting with the Solar Design Specialist, Jeff Hornick to the owner and all the installers and electricians. We have to say that Jeff is not only an outstanding sales person but also a very caring, thorough, patient and knowledgeable Unique Solar Representative who did not use sales pressure to explain what would be entailed with a solar system, how it functioned with SDGE Grid and Net Surplus Compensation to the details of the installation. <br />We really appreciate how he did not pressure us to go solar, waiting for us to decide (oh over 2 months) and addressing all our concerns. He has awesome customer service skills, active listening and thorough follow up to address our needs and concerns. I have to say that I am a little bit sensitive to the noise levels when work is being done on the roof....he made sure he called his installers to consider my request and needs. <br />Overall we are very very satisfied with this company and will definitely use them again...and have already recommended them to two neighbors. Not to mention they have very competitive pricing and they use quality products as well. <br />They met all their deadlines and worked very hard with such a time crunch to work with our new roof project.

Installation was quick and very professional. I'm very happy with their service. I got quotes from 4 different solar companies. Unique offered the best price and after comparing brands, Unique offered the best quality panels of my 4 bids.

Excellent Company
We narrowed a large list of solar contractors to 10 and then 3 to bid on our residence. Unique Solar, Ulf Waldman's, company was the successful bidder. He is very knowledgeable about the details of a solar energy system. And also importantly, roofing installations. You need a good roof under your panels.<br />He is personally involved in his projects and helpful throughout, unlike many larger companies having large sales force that disappear once you sign on and begin your installation. We continue to work with him as he monitors or system. And we recommend him to our friends and neighbors.
